A wonderful evening of music from Bluenotes & Counter Measures

The Blue Notes singers at Cirencester Ashcroft Church on the 18th May 2019

We are really grateful to our fundraising team, who have put in a great deal of work this year to raise money toward Cirencester Ashcroft Centre, which in turn benefits all we do in our outreach and mission.

On the 18th May, the fundraising team organised a visit from ‘Bluenotes’ who gave a very enjoyable concert.  Bluenotes are not a choir, but a group of twelve lady singers based in South Cerney who focus on a jazz repertoire.  They sing at a number of charity concerts during the year, some in South Cerney Parish Church, and others in quite a wide area around.  They were accompanied by a male quartet called Counter measures and were directed by Jules Addison.

The concert raised a total of £405.00 towards the centre.

The fundraising teams next event is a visit from the Swindon Male Voice choir on Saturday 28th September.
