Wednesday 1st August 2018
Anyone wandering into Ashcroft Church on 1st August could be forgiven to wondering what was happening as there were a lot of sheep and sheep related things here and there. Over thirty people came along to have a fun time sharing, eating, singing and chatting around the theme of ‘wool’. Talks on the farming year and the role of wool in the Cotswolds were interspersed with challenging quizzes, quips, tricky songs, great displays of wool based handicrafts and yes lots of food – roast lamb of course but even sheep shaped biscuits.
It was great to see some folk who have not been well enough to come out for a while as well as new friends. Thanks are due to all who made it happen and who attended.
